This is week 3 of your photo challenge and inspiration for this week’s photos is Shapes.
Find a shape and photograph it at different angles. Make sure to take note of how the light falls on the object.
This is a great challenge in that it can be done indoors if you are short on time, or a well-planned afternoon out to find some interesting shapes around where you live.
My personal favourite it photographing modern architecture. The shapes Architects play with to make a building functional as well as aesthetically pleasing is cool see.
Some ideas of photos to get you started are:
- Random children’s building blocks such as Lego or other plastic toys lying around.
- Public art work, photograph it at different times of day.
- A new high rise building, take photos of the different shapes that make up the building.
- Create a new shape by photographing an object at different angles
When posting on social media, use the hashtags #yop #yearofphotos so you can see what other photographers are creating.
